Who can access the Lounge?
Dropping into Virgin Australia’s domestic Lounges is one of the best parts of any trip.
Please scan or show your digital or physical membership card, eligible credit card and boarding pass to enter.
The below guests may have access to Virgin Australia’s domestic lounges as set out below

Velocity Platinum
When flying on a same day Virgin Australia flight, Velocity Platinum members receive complimentary access pre-departure to our Virgin Australia Lounges and can invite three additional guests, plus up to three children aged between 2 to 17 years. Infants under the age of 2 can enter for free.
Access to Premium Entry is also available when departing from Sydney and Brisbane – view opening hours.
Subject to space availability, Velocity Platinum members and their invited guests may also access the lounge at the arrival port for up to 60 minutes after their Virgin Australia flight arrival time.
Important:
Invited guests do not need to be travelling but must enter and leave the lounge at the same time as the Velocity Platinum member.

Velocity Gold
When flying on a same day Virgin Australia flight, Velocity Gold members receive complimentary access pre-departure to our Virgin Australia Lounges and can invite one additional guest, plus up to three children aged between 2 to 17 years. Infants under the age of 2 can enter for free.
Access to Premium Entry is also available when departing from Sydney and Brisbane – view opening hours.
Subject to space availability, Velocity Gold members and their invited guests may also access the lounge at the arrival port for up to 60 minutes after their Virgin Australia flight arrival time.

Velocity Silver
Velocity Silver members can enjoy complimentary lounge access to our domestic lounges using their 2 single entry lounge passes when departing on a same day Virgin Australia flight.
Passes are preloaded onto their Velocity account per membership year and are valid for 12 months.
Each pass is valid for one single entry into the lounge per person, aged 2 years and above.
When using a pass for an additional guest, they must be flying on a same day Virgin Australia flight.
To redeem passes, please provide your Velocity Frequent Flyer number and a valid boarding pass to the Lounge team at reception.
Access on arrival is not permitted.

Casual Single Entry Passes
Single entry passes allow you to enjoy access to the lounge for up to 2 hours prior to departure when flying on a same day Virgin Australia flight and can be purchased at Lounge reception.
- Adult passes $65
- Child passes (aged 2-17 years) $45
Passes are valid for one single entry into the lounge per person and do not include additional complimentary guests.
Infants under the age of 2 can enter for free.
Single entry passes are not valid to access the lounge on arrival.
Important:
Our lounges open 60 mins before the first flight departure and access is always subject to space availability and operational constraints.

Business Class
Virgin Australia Business Class guests can enjoy complimentary lounge access when flying on a same day Virgin Australia flight. No additional guests are permitted.
Access to Premium Entry is also available when departing from Sydney and Brisbane – view opening hours.
Subject to space availability, Business Class guests may also access the lounge at the arrival port for up to 60 minutes after their Virgin Australia flight arrival time.

Lounge members, Lifetime Lounge members and Senior Lifetime Lounge members can access the Virgin Australia Lounges when flying on a same day Virgin Australia flight, Complimentary access pre-departure is available for the member and one additional guest, plus up to three children aged between 2 to 17 years. Infants under the age of 2 can enter for free.
Subject to space availability, Lounge members, Lifetime Lounge members, Senior Lifetime Lounge members and their invited guests may also access the lounge at the arrival port for up to 60 minutes after their Virgin Australia flight arrival time.
Lifetime Lounge members and Senior Lifetime Lounge members can also access Premium Entry when departing from Sydney and Brisbane – view opening hours. Not available to Lounge members.

Eligible Partner Airline members can enjoy complimentary lounge access when flying on a same day Virgin Australia flight.
If your eligible Partner Airline membership allows you to bring in a guest, they must be travelling on the same Virgin Australia flight. Additional guests are any guests aged 2 years and over. Infants under the age of 2 can enter for free. Access on arrival is not permitted.
Access to Premium Entry is also available to our Partner Airline guests when departing from Sydney and Brisbane – view opening hours.
For information on which Partner Airline membership tiers allow entry, and for additional guest allowance, please refer to your airline’s website.
Link Airways
Travelling on a Link airways operated, marketed, and ticketed flight – holding a Link Airways boarding pass with a FC flight number: access to the Virgin Australia lounge is permitted in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney when you are travelling on Y, B, H and K fare classes only. (Flexible and Freedom fares). Single entry lounge passes can be purchased for all other fare classes.
Travelling on a Virgin Australia codeshare flight operated by Link Airways with a VA flight number from VA4000 – VA4099. Access to the Virgin Australia lounge is permitted for eligible guests which include, Virgin Australia Beyond, Velocity Platinum, Velocity Gold, Virgin Australia Lounge members, Velocity Silver using passes and eligible Credit Card partner guests. (Partner Airline members not permitted).
Travelling on a Virgin Australia marketed, and Link Airways operated flight when holding a Virgin Australia boarding pass with a VA flight number, excluding flight numbers VA4000 – VA4099, access is permitted to the Virgin Australia Lounge for eligible guests which include, Virgin Australia Beyond, Velocity Platinum, Velocity Gold, Virgin Australia Lounge members, Velocity Silver using passes, eligible Partner Airline members, and eligible Credit Card partner guests.
Fly Pelican
Flights operated by Fly Pelican departing from Canberra, access to the Virgin Australia lounge is permitted when you are travelling on Y and B fare classes only.
Single entry passes can be purchased for all other fare classes.
Important information
Fly Pelican lounge access will cease on 31 May 2025.
From 1 June 2025, Fly Pelican guests will no longer have access to the Virgin Australia Lounges.

Westpac Altitude Velocity Black Mastercard and Virgin Money credit card holders

American Express Velocity Platinum credit card annual Lounge benefit
Guests with a American Express Velocity Platinum credit card are eligible to receive an annual Lounge benefit for the primary card holder only, which allows entry to the Lounge for up to 2 hours prior to departure when travelling on a same day Virgin Australia flight.
Eligibility criteria applies, please refer to your credit card terms and conditions for information on how to enrol for the annual lounge benefit.
Entry is subject to space availability.
Access on arrival is not permitted.
Amex Centurion, Amex Platinum, Amex Platinum Business & Amex Platinum Corporate card holders*
Eligible Amex Centurion, Amex Platinum, Amex Platinum Business & Amex Platinum Corporate card holders* can enjoy complimentary lounge access when flying on a same day Virgin Australia flight.
Access is for the Primary card holder + 1 additional guest. Your guest must be travelling on the same Virgin Australia flight. Additional guests are any guests aged 2 years and over. Infants under the age of 2 can enter for free.
Entry is subject to space availability.
Access on arrival is not permitted.
Your physical card must be presented to our team to confirm eligibility.
*Important: Not all Amex Platinum cards allow access – please refer to your applicable Platinum card Terms and Conditions for more information.
Memberships
A 12 month annual lounge membership gives you access to our Virgin Australia owned and operated lounges within Australia when you are flying on a same day Virgin Australia flight.
To purchase a lounge membership, you need to be 18 years or over and have a current Red or Silver Velocity Frequent Flyer membership.
How to join
All Lounge memberships can be purchased in the Lounge by speaking with a member of our team.
Senior Lifetime memberships are available to individuals aged 60 or over with valid proof of age.
Annual memberships can also be purchased or renewed online via our online portal.
Joining fee#: $99
#Joining Fee is applicable for all new memberships (Lifetime and Senior Lifetime memberships excepted) and memberships renewed more than one month after expiry.

Corporate memberships
Discounted annual lounge memberships are available to companies that have a Corporate Air Agreement or a Virgin Australia Business Flyer account.
If your employer has been issued with a discounted lounge rate to the Virgin Australia Lounge and you wish to purchase or renew your annual membership, please contact your scheme coordinator within your organisation.

Inclusions and additional guests
You will pay for the room hire only if you are eligible to enter the lounge based on your status:
- Platinum members are entitled to 3 additional guests
- Gold members are entitled to 1 additional guest
- Lounge members are entitled to 1 additional guest
Additional guests are $65.00 per person (non-eligible members and guests).
Booking information
To book you will need to be flying on a same day Virgin Australia flight and be a Velocity Frequent Flyer member.
Bookings can be made by calling the Guest Contact Centre on
13 67 89 at least 48 business hours prior.
International Lounge information
For guests travelling on an international Virgin Australia, we do not have lounges at any of our international departure ports*. We also do not have agreements with any third party operators.
For guests travelling on a partner airline operated flight, (including Virgin Australia long haul international flights operated by Qatar Airways), you may have access to one of our partner airline operated lounges.

*Eligible guests travelling on a Virgin Australia operated international flight departing from Adelaide or the Gold Coast can use the domestic lounge, as the international and domestic departures are located within the one terminal.
