We’ve designed our in-flight entertainment for everyone to enjoy – including those who are visually or hearing impaired.

Closed captioning: we are committed to providing a high portion of movies and TV shows with closed captions or subtitles. Just click on the CC to turn on closed captioning when playing a movie or TV show.

Helpful apps: VoiceOver is an inbuilt screen reader you can find in Apple products like iPhone and iPad, that converts buttons and text into a synthetic voice.

To find it, hold the home button to activate Siri, and ask Siri to activate Accessibility/VoiceOver. A headset will be required.

For Android smartphones and tablets, the TalkBack screen reader can be downloaded from Google Play. Like VoiceOver, the TalkBack screen reader will convert buttons and text into a synthetic voice. Once installed, go to your device settings menu and select Accessibly/Vision/TalkBack to open it. A headset will be required.

All guests are required to bring their own charged devices and headphones to comfortably enjoy our wireless entertainment.

Virgin Australia offers In-flight Entertainment on a selected number of aircraft types and routes only and is complimentary to all guests on seatback and with compatible devices.

Unfortunately, Silverlight is no longer supported. Guests using MacBooks are required to bring an alternative device for their entertainment needs.

How to connect

Step one

Switch your device to flight or airplane mode.

Step two

Connect to the VirginAustralia WiFi network.

Step three

Scan the QR code on the back of the onboard menu or go to wifi.virginaustralia.com and follow the prompts.
