A checked baggage allowance applies to adults, children, infants and Velocity members travelling on Virgin Australia’s Domestic and International Short Haul network.

Oversized and fragile items
Oversized baggage can be checked in, provided each item does not exceed their baggage weight allowance.

Travelling with Airline partners

Carry-on baggage
All guests travelling on Virgin Australia operated flights are permitted a carry-on baggage allowance based on cabin class and Velocity Tier.

Delayed and damaged baggage
Delayed or lost baggage, or damage to baggage and/or baggage contents, should be reported to Virgin Australia within the baggage reclaim area at the airport.
