Vigin Australia Business Flyer terms and conditions
1 Virgin Australia Business Flyer Members can earn up to 1,000,000 Points from Virgin Australia flights only, per annum, based on the rolling 12 month period from the Member joins the VA Business Loyalty Program. Points aren’t earned on certain fees, taxes or charges. Virgin Australia Business Flyer Terms and Conditions and Velocity Business Terms and Conditions apply.
2 Price comparison is correct as of 3 January 2023 and based on the average non-discounted Virgin Australia Economy Choice and Business Class Fares compared to the respective average non-discounted fare structure in economy or business class of its major competitor (excluding any sale and advance purchase fares) filed by the respective airlines and published by the Airline Tariff Publishing Company for flights between Brisbane and Sydney, Sydney and Melbourne, and Melbourne and Brisbane for the period 3 January to 23 November 2023.
3The Fare Advantage Discount of 4% applies to domestic Flex fares (L, K, H, W, B, Y class) and 6% applies to domestic Business Class fares (D, C, J class) and is available to Virgin Australia Business Flyer members. The Fare Advantage Discount levels are subject to change without notice. Please check our website for current discount levels. Fare Advantage Discounts can only be booked through the Booking Portal, our Guest Contact Centre, or a registered self-ticketing Travel Management Company (TMC) or travel agent and are not available through the public Virgin Australia website. If your TMC or travel agent is not registered to process Fare Advantage Discounts, please instruct your TMC or travel agent to contact the Virgin Australia Business Flyer team at businessflyer@virginaustralia.com. Fare Advantage Discounts cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount and cannot be combined with any other Unpublished Fares or Promotional Fares. Fare Advantage discounts do not apply to any bookings made via the Virgin Australia conference and group travel area, sale fares or other tactical fares offered from time to time, and bookings for children and infants. 4Discounted Lounge Membership: Discount is compared to the usual annual fee of $399. Discounted Virgin Australia Lounge Memberships are available for Key Contact, Account Administrators, Travel Bookers and Travellers and are subject to the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Terms and Conditions Use of the Lounge is subject to the Virgin Australia Lounge Terms and Conditions and Virgin Australia Lounge rules. Virgin Australia Lounge entry is subject to space availability.
5Velocity Frequent Flyer Points Terms and Conditions: If the individual flying with Virgin Australia or a partner airline is also a Velocity Frequent Flyer Program member, they may also earn Velocity Frequent Flyer Program points in accordance with the relevant Velocity Frequent Flyer Program Terms.
6Points transfer: Business Flyer Account Administrators can transfer VA Business Flyer Points to Velocity Frequent Flyer Program points, provided that (a) there is a limit of 3,000 Points per transfer; and (b) Points are only transferred to an individual who is a Velocity Frequent Flyer and is associated with the Member.
7A new Virgin Australia Business Flyer member is eligible to receive two three-month Velocity Pilot Gold Memberships if, within the first three months of becoming a Virgin Australia Business Flyer member, it books and completes at least $2,000 of travel. 8 Velocity Gold Membership: Virgin Australia Tier 2 members receive one complimentary annual Velocity Gold Membership. Virgin Australia Tier 3 members receive two complimentary annual Velocity Gold Memberships. These complimentary memberships are for member employees only, as nominated by the member.
*Promotion is valid between 12:01am AEST 16 January 2023 to 11:59pm AEST 31 March 2023 (inclusive) (Promotion Period).
For your business to earn up to 150,000 bonus Velocity Points its nominated representative must:
1. successfully apply for a new Virgin Australia Business Flyer membership during the Promotion Period; and
2. within 90 days from the membership approval:
A. spend $5,000 or more on eligible flights (excluding taxes and fees and after any discounts), and fly on those eligible flights, to receive 50,000 bonus Velocity Points; and
B. spend a further $5,000 or more on eligible flights (excluding taxes and fees and after any discounts), and fly on those eligible flights, to receive an additional 100,000 bonus Velocity Points.
An eligible flight is: A. any one-way domestic or short haul international flight marketed and operated by Virgin Australia, booked through the VA.com website (ABN must be entered at time of booking), the Virgin Australia Business Flyer booking portal or via the member’s nominated Travel Management Company, and B. ticketed during the Promotion Period in a fare class that normally accrues Velocity Points. Reward Seats are not eligible for this promotion. Codeshare services marketed or operated by partner airlines are not eligible for this offer.
Bonus Velocity Points will be earned in addition to base Velocity Points earned. Bonus Points will be applied to the originally purchased fare class and any upgrades (other than when you paid the full commercial fare) will not attract Bonus Points as a result of this offer. This promotion can only be earned once during the Promotion Period. Please allow up to 4 weeks after meeting all criteria for the Velocity Points to be allocated to the Virgin Australia Business Flyer account. Promotion only available to new Virgin Australia Business Flyer members. This offer can be used in conjunction with the New Member 2,500 Bonus Velocity Points and First Flight Double Bonus Velocity Points offers. Virgin Australia Business Flyer Membership and Velocity Terms and conditions apply.
^Frequent Flyer members of airlines which are not partners of Velocity Frequent Flyer (Velocity), that currently hold the equivalent of Velocity Silver Status or higher are eligible to apply for a Velocity Status match subject to the following.
To receive the equivalent Velocity Status, a current employee or contractor of an existing Virgin Australia Business Flyer member must:
1. be an existing Velocity member;
2. apply by sending an email to businessflyer@virginaustralia.com between 16 January to 23:59pm AEST 31 March 2023 outlining:
a. their name and Velocity membership number;
b. a legible copy of the airline/frequent flyer program membership card stating the applicant’s name and current equivalent status to the Velocity Silver Status or higher; and
c. the Virgin Australia Business Flyer member business name and ABN (Application); and
3. send the Application from the email address currently linked to their Velocity membership account.
