Tuesday 6 October 2026: Aussies dreaming of a European holiday can start planning, with Virgin Australia today launching an early bird Europe sale featuring fares starting from $1,641* return (Economy Choice, Perth to Barcelona via Doha).
Velocity Frequent Flyer members can also earn up to 24,000 bonus Velocity Points on eligible return bookings**, making that next European holiday even more rewarding.
The sale fares can be booked directly through the Virgin Australia website until midnight AEST Friday 30 October 2026 (unless sold out prior), with destinations including Europe’s most popular travel hotspots such as Barcelona, Rome, London Heathrow, Paris and more.
The flights, operated on behalf of Virgin Australia through its strategic partnership with Qatar Airways, include departures from most major Australian cities via Doha (departing Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide), connecting travellers to more than 40 destinations across Europe and Qatar Airways’ award-winning onboard experience.

Velocity bonus Points offer**

Virgin Australia Chief Marketing Officer and Sustainability Officer, Libby Minogue said the early bird sale gives Australians an affordable way to explore some of Europe’s most sought-after destinations and with the added benefit of earning bonus Velocity Points.

Velocity Bonus Points Offer
**To be eligible for the bonus Velocity Points promotion (“Bonus Points Offer”), you must: (1) activate this offer through the activation link between 12.01am AEST 6 October 2026 and 11.59pm AEST 30 October 2026 inclusive (“Promotion Period”); (2) after activation, book an Eligible Flight during the Promotion Period; (3) add your Velocity membership number to your booking before travel; and (4) travel on the Eligible Flight booked in the Promotion Period between 12.01am AEST 17 January 2027 and 11.59pm AEST 31 October 2027 (“Travel Period”).
