Need extra legroom? Add Economy X

​​​​³Economy X seats are limited and may be sold out at time of booking or at any time prior to your travel date. The applicable Economy X fee will be the fee published at the time you purchase Economy X and is subject to change. Price is per person, one way and per sector. Price is in the applicable booking currency, being the country of origin specified in your booking or purchase. Economy X upgrades are non-refundable, except where you are entitled to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law. See the Economy X Terms and Conditions for more information on refunds. Not all product benefits are available at all airports. Where some of the product features are not available or utilised by you, you are not entitled to a refund unless otherwise specified in the Economy X Terms and Conditions. Economy X seats located in Exit Rows require guests to accept and meet the Exit Row Safety Conditions to sit in these rows. If you change your mind and no longer wish to sit in these rows, you may move to an alternate Economy X seat for no additional fee. If however no other Economy X are available, you will be assigned a standard Economy X seat and entitled to a refund of the Economy X price. Please let us know as soon as possible if you no longer meet the Exit Row Safety Conditions. If at the time of travel you no longer meet the Exit Row Safety Conditions you will be offered an alternate Economy X seat or you will be assigned a standard Economy seat and entitled to a refund of the Economy X fee. Pride Flight fares

The $269 price point is based on a one-way Economy Flex fare booked on specially marketed Pride Flight services from either Brisbane or Melbourne to Sydney, departing on 27 February 2026. Europe 2026 sale

Holiday packages on sale

⁶On sale from 12:01 am AEST 12 January 2026 until 11:59 pm AEST 19 January 2026 (“Offer Period”) unless sold out prior for selected Virgin Australia Holidays. The sale is available for selected Virgin Australia Holiday packages to selected destinations on the Virgin Australia domestic and international short haul network, which include return Economy Choice fares booked as a component of an eligible  Holiday package, and an average hotel accommodation, booked with Hopper at https://www.virginaustralia.com/au-en/holidays (Hopper Portal). All bookings made through the Hopper Portal are provided by Hopper and all bookings are subject to the Virgin Australia Holidays terms and conditions. An eligible Holiday package is one that is made during the Offer Period via the Hopper Portal.​ Travel periods apply and eligible Virgin Australia Holiday packages are subject to availability. Seat availability on flights and hotel rooms are limited and may not be available at peak times. Additional charges may apply. Change and cancellation rules of a Virgin Australia Holiday package are different depending on the fare type and hotel that you choose. Velocity members will earn Velocity Points per $1 spent on eligible Holiday bookings with Hopper via the Hopper Portal. Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum Plus members will continue to earn their tier bonus Velocity Points separately. Silver members earn an extra 1.5 bonus Points per $1 spent on eligible Holiday bookings, Gold members earn an extra 2.25 bonus Points per $1 spent on eligible Holiday bookings, Platinum members earn an extra 3 bonus Points per $1 spent on eligible Holiday bookings and Platinum Plus members earn an extra 4.5 bonus Points per $1 spent on eligible Holiday bookings. Velocity Points are not earned on full redemption Holiday bookings. For “Points + Pay” bookings, Velocity Points will be earned on any “+ Pay” component. Velocity Points will not be awarded for additional or incidental costs (such as in-room charges, early check-in, late checkout and upgrades), cancelled bookings or bookings where stay is not completed. Velocity members must submit their valid Velocity membership number at the time of booking to be eligible to earn Velocity Points. Only the Velocity member who identifies themselves as the Primary Guest on the Holiday booking is eligible to earn Velocity Points.​ Points are awarded after check-out and are credited to your account within 1 week after the completion of the return flight included within the eligible Holiday booking.
