Are domestic and international flights included in the Virgin Australia Black Friday Sale?
Yes - the Virgin Australia Black Friday Sale includes both domestic and international flight deals.
You’ll find discounted fares across major domestic routes like:- Sydney
- Melbourne
- Brisbane
- Gold Coast
- Hobart, Perth
- Cairns
- Sunshine Coast and
- Hamilton Island.
As well as international favourites including:
- Bali
- Queenstown
- Fiji
- Vanuatu and

Availability varies by destination and travel dates, and sale fares are limited so it’s best to book early for the lowest Black Friday prices.

Yes, the sale is available for a limited time only. Once it ends, fares return to standard pricing so make sure you book as soon as possible to lock in your deal.

How can I book a Black Friday fare?
You can book Black Friday fares directly through the Virgin Australia App, website, or your preferred travel agent. App users will receive early access to sale fares before they’re available on the website.

Can I use Velocity Points during the Black Friday sale?
Yes - you can earn and redeem Velocity Points on eligible Black Friday fares. You can also use Points + Pay to reduce the cost of your booking.

Can I change my Virgin Australia Black Friday flight booking?
Yes - you can change your Black Friday booking. Virgin Australia Black Friday fares are available on Economy Lite and Economy Choice, and both fare types allow changes with a $109 change fee plus any fare difference.
Economy Lite
- Changes permitted up to midnight before departure
- A $109 change fee + fare difference applies
- If you try to change your flight on the day of departure, the fare may become non-refundable
Economy Choice
- Changes permitted up to departure
- A $109 change fee + fare difference applies
Change fees apply per person, per booking.
- Bookings made with Velocity Points + Pay follow the same rules for Economy Lite and Choice during the Black Friday sale.
- If Virgin Australia changes your flight, standard Guest Compensation options apply, including rebooking, travel credit or refund.

Can I cancel my Black Friday booking?
Black Friday fares are some of our best deals, so Economy Lite and Economy Choice bookings are usually non-refundable or subject to a cancellation fee.
If you’d like flexibility, add Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) at the time of booking your Black Friday Sale fare.
CFAR lets you cancel for any reason up to 24 hours before departure and receive a refund of either 80% or 100% of your airfare.
CFAR is only available on Economy Lite and Economy Choice fares when booking directly through the Virgin Australia website or mobile site, and it must be added during booking - it can’t be added later.
Without CFAR, cancelling an Economy Lite fare results in a loss of fare, and Economy Choice cancellations incur a $109 fee.

Do I need a promo code for the Black Friday Sale?
No promo code is required. Black Friday fares will automatically appear in the App and on the website once the sale is live.
