Virgin Australia Cargo offers more than 3,400 flights per week through access to the Virgin Australia Group’s extensive flight network of 47 domestic and 16 international destinations. We provide services for major cargo distributors, corporate shippers and individuals, including the transportation of animals. We have access to specialist cargo handling terminals in all major airports across Australia, catering to a range of different customer requirements.

Virgin Australia Cargo can offer Express and General Cargo services to New Zealand and Pacific destinations for IATA registered freight forwarders.
Animals, Dangerous Goods and Perishable Goods Cargo Services are also available in accordance with applicable conditions of carriage and customs laws. Please note, Virgin Australia does not transport greyhounds on flights to Asia.

Virgin Australia and Jetpets unite rescue pets with their fur-ever homes across Australia
Virgin Australia Cargo recently announced a new partnership with pet travel experts Jetpets to unite rescue pets with new, loving homes around Australia.
For the first time Jetpets and Virgin Australia Cargo come together to fly hundreds of pets in need of care across Australia, breaking down distance and travel barriers with the help of the our animal welfare charity partners.
Together we will work with a number of animal welfare charities, such as Pet Rescue, to fly hundreds of pets in need of care across Australia.
As an example, Pet Rescue and Virgin Australia united Lallee the Rough Collie (a Lassie Dog) with her new owners in Sydney where she can look forward to being a very much loved and permanent member of the family.
Thanks to this new partnership and the kindness of adopter and foster families around Australia, the future for Lallee, and other rescue dogs like her, is bright.
Virgin Australia Cargo Chief Executive, Merren McArthur, said: “We understand that more and more Australians are making the great decision to adopt a rescue pet, so we’re delighted to be helping Jetpets and rescue organisations overcome distance and travel barriers so that pets can be matched with loving homes,” she said.
“This is a treasured partnership for all of us at Virgin Australia Cargo. Everyone in our team is passionate about pet welfare and helping to make a positive difference – not just for our furry, four legged friends, but for the new owners that receive them,” McArthur said.
