Virgin Australia will increase capacity from one to two daily flights between Sydney and Doha from early December on its services operated by Qatar Airways.
From 7 December 2026 through to 28 March 2027, an additional daily Sydney to Doha service will operate under flight numbers VA3/4. Together with Qatar Airways' existing daily services, customers will have access to a combined three flights per day between Sydney and 160+ destinations across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The expanded Sydney schedule will coincide with the return of Virgin Australia’s services between Brisbane and Doha (VA15/16) and Perth and Doha (VA21/22), which will resume from 8 and 9 December 2026 respectively.

These changes are in response to customer demand, restoring Virgin Australia's capacity to Doha with 28 flights per week. In addition, customers can continue accessing Qatar Airways' existing services between Australia and Europe, Africa and Middle East under Virgin Australia's codeshare, providing even more travel options across the combined network.
