What are the different ways I can book flights for myself or my team?
Your business can book travel using the Business Booking Portal, through your nominated Travel Agent, or through the Virgin Australia website. Please be aware that Virgin Australia Business Flyer fare discounts* are only available on eligible flights booked through the Booking Portal or through your nominated Travel Agent.

How can I book business travel for myself or my team in the Business Booking Portal?
To book a flight in your Booking Portal as either the account Key Contact, Account Administrator or Booker, follow the steps below.
Log in to the Booking Portal with your account details.
Use the flight search function to select travellers, departure port, destinations, and travel dates. Then, select âLetâs flyâ to start your flight search.
Choose your flight and fare brand, then select âcontinueâ.
Re-confirm travellersâ personal details. If the traveller is a Velocity Frequent Flyer member, donât forget to add their Velocity Frequent Flyer number in this step, so that they can earn Velocity Points and Status Credits in an individual capacity2. Once you have done this, select âconfirmâ.
You can now add any additional extras to your booking including preferred seat selection, Economy X upgrades, additional baggage and any special assistance requests.
Review and finalise your booking and select your preferred payment method. This could be using Points~, Travel Bank credit¶, or debit/credit card. Points and Travel Bank credit will only be available to redeem for users who have been given permission to access them by an Account Administrator. Please be aware that Travel Bank credit earned through a Virgin Australia Business Flyer promotion can only be applied towards the base fare.

How can I book business travel through the Virgin Australia website and app?
Link your Velocity Frequent Flyer account to your Virgin Australia Business Flyer account to enable seamless business travel booking through the Virgin Australia website and app. Once your accounts are linked, youâll easily be able to toggle between business and leisure travel booked through the Virgin Australia website or app to ensure you donât miss out on earning Velocity Points for your business and tracking business travel spend to progress through the membership tiers. If you havenât linked your accounts, you can still add your ABN/ACN to the booking manually at the checkout instead. Please remember that member-exclusive travel discounts* are only available for bookings made through the Business Booking Portal or your nominated Travel Agent.

Can I book business travel through a Travel Agent or Travel Management Company?
As a Virgin Australia Business Flyer member, you can nominate a Travel Agent or Travel Management Company to book travel for yourself and your team. Just let them know youâre a Virgin Australia Business Flyer member, so they can ensure you take advantage of your member-exclusive discounts* and earn Points for every trip they book on your behalf.

How can I use the âPay with Pointsâ payment option?
If your business has earned a minimum of 100 Points, the Key Contact, Account Administrator, Booker and Traveller can use them to offset the cost of your next flight booking~. Please be aware that Travellers can only use the Pay with Points payment option if the account Key Contact, Account Administrator or Booker has granted them access to do so at the time of creating their Traveller profile. To do this, follow the same booking process as outlined in the âHow do I book flights for myself or my teamâ question above, then follow the steps below:
- When you get to the payment screen, select âPointsâ as your preferred payment method.
- Use the slider to select the number of Points you want to use towards the total cost.
- Complete your booking, and if a balance remains you can pay this using your preferred debit or credit card.

How can I redeem a Travel Bank credit?
Travel Bank credit is the amount your business has available to use towards future bookings with Virgin Australia. Your business may have been allocated a Travel Bank credit to spend on future flights from a transaction, such as a cancelled flight, or have received complimentary Travel Bank credit from a member-exclusive offer. When you log in to the Booking Portal, your Travel Bank balance will appear on the home screen¶.
You can redeem your businessâ Travel Bank credit either:
- Online via the Business Booking Portal.
- Over the phone via the Virgin Australia Business Flyer Contact Centre.
Redeeming Travel Bank credit in the Business Booking Portal:
- Log-in to the Business Booking Portal. If you have been given permission to use the accountâs Travel Bank credit, your Travel Bank balance will appear on the home screen.
- Follow the usual booking steps as outlined in the âHow do I book flights for myself or my teamâ question above.
- In the payment options screen, select âPay with Travel Bankâ.
- Enter the amount of your Travel Bank that you want to use and select âapplyâ.Â
- Follow the prompts to finalise your booking.
Please note that Travel Bank credit can only be used alongside a credit or debit card, and that any complimentary Travel Bank credit received as part of a promotion can only be used towards the base fare.

Can I still book flights through the Virgin Australia website and app?
You and your team can still book on the Virgin Australia website or app â just remember to attach your ABN or ACN to all bookings so you can earn Velocity Points towards your Virgin Australia Business Flyer account. Please remember that member-exclusive discounts on flights are not available when you book this way. Member-exclusive discounts are only available through the Booking Portal or when booking through your Travel Management Company.
If you forgot to attach your ABN to a booking and havenât flown yet, you can call our team on 1300 246 498 to add your ABN and earn Points for your business when you or your team fly.
