Terms and conditions

Minimum annual base fare expenditure level to receive or continue to receive an accelerate travel credit. Fare Advantage Terms and Conditions: Fare Advantage discounts are available to all registered Virgin Australia accelerate clients. All flights must be booked via the Virgin Australia Corporate Portal, the Virgin Australia Guest Contact Centre or a registered self-ticketing Travel Management Company and are not available via the Virgin Australia public website. For information on how to register your travel management company, please contact the Virgin Australia accelerate team at accelerate@virginaustralia.com. Fare advantage discounts apply to Eligible Services sold with the ‘VA’ designator and which are operated by Virgin Australia.  See accelerate terms and conditions (PDF) for more information. Fare Advantage discounts do not apply to any bookings made via the Virgin Australia conference and group travel area and cannot be combined with any other Unpublished Fares and Promotional Fares. Fare Advantage discounts are available on all domestic flights, Trans Tasman and international short haul flights using Virgin Australia only. Your accelerate Travel Credits will be calculated by applying the appropriate percentage rebate to your total eligible expenditure for the relevant period. Status Credits cannot be earned on all fare classes. Status Credits can only be earned on eligible flights, marketed and operated by Virgin Australia and/or a Velocity airline partner. Find out which fare classes earn Status Credits. Status Credits cannot be earned in other fare classes, unless advised otherwise. Status Credits accrual is based on single flight segments that consist of individual flight numbers. An itinerary that involves a change in aircraft but retains the same flight number is considered a single flight segment. An itinerary that consists of a change in flight numbers, even if the same aircraft is used for the entire itinerary, is considered two flight segments. Members travelling on upgraded fares purchased with Points or any other subsidised means of upgrades on Virgin Australia or our partner airlines will earn Status Credits based on original purchased fare class.

Fare Advantage discounts

Fare Advantage1 discounts are available across a range of fare classes in Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy. You can start saving on new bookings straight away, with fares able to be booked right up to your day of travel. To book Fare Advantage fares, simply login to your Virgin Australia Business Portal or contact your registered travel consultant.

Annual travel credits 

On every 12 month anniversary you will be rewarded with annual travel credits to spend on Virgin Australia flights and our international accelerate partner airlines, when booking on a Virgin Australia ticket. Expenditure on codeshare services operated by our accelerate partner airlines Etihad Airways and Virgin Atlantic Airways contribute to your overall accelerate expenditure.

The more you spend, the higher the percentage you will receive, simply meet your minimum $20,0006 annual expenditure target for your rewards to begin.

4 10% discount offered on Business Saver D and I class is available for Advance Purchase fares of 10 days (D class) and 21 days (I class) respectively. Clients will need to purchase these fares/classes at least 10 or 21 days in advance of their proposed travel date to receive the promotional discount indicted.
