Tuesday 22 September 2026: Virgin Australia has today unveiled Virgin Australia Corporate Travel, the new name for its corporate travel offering for businesses spending more than $500,000 a year across the airline’s extensive domestic and international network.
Virgin Australia Corporate Travel will provide larger businesses with tailored discounts, dedicated support from a Partner Manager and Velocity traveller perks, including Virgin Australia Lounge access for eligible travellers, in exchange for contracted corporate travel spend across Virgin Australia, Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) in Western Australia and the airline’s international airline partners.
The announcement comes as Australian businesses seek to manage rising costs and unlock greater value from their corporate travel spend, while Virgin Australia doubles down on its commitment to businesses of all sizes as it looks to grow its share of the corporate travel market.
The rebranded offering completes Virgin Australia’s business product portfolio following the launch of Virgin Australia Business Flyer in April 2022 for small-to-medium-sized businesses (SME) who spend up to $500,000 a year on flights and marks the first of a series of announcements planned from the airline in the coming months.
Virgin Australia has continued to build on its reputation for trust and service, having recently been named Australia’s Most Trusted Travel & Tourism Brand by Roy Morgan for the fourth consecutive year, recording the lowest cancellation rate among major domestic airlines last year* and having its cabin crew voted the World’s Best for eight years running^.
Commentary
Virgin Australia General Manager, Sales, Darren McDermott, said the launch of Virgin Australia Corporate Travel gives businesses greater clarity around the airline’s corporate travel offering.
“Virgin Australia has been supporting businesses with corporate travel for more than two decades, and the launch of Virgin Australia Corporate Travel underpins what we are offering in the market,” said Mr McDermott.
“We know businesses are looking closely at how they spend, particularly amid rising inflation. That’s why we’re focused on offering some of the best-value fares in the market, along with tailored discounts and dedicated Partner Manager support. Virgin Australia Corporate Travel builds on the success of Virgin Australia Business Flyer for SMEs, elevating the value proposition to be specific to the needs of larger businesses.
“From having the World’s Best Cabin Crew to being awarded Australia’s Most Trusted Travel & Tourism Brand* while recording the lowest cancellation rate among Australia’s major domestic airlines last year**, we offer businesses the combination of value, award-winning service and reliability that matters when choosing an airline for their people.
“The new name is just the first step in a broader focus on growing our corporate travel proposition and strengthening our share of the market,” he said.
