IHG® Hotels & Resorts | Velocity Frequent Flyer double Velocity Points (“2X Miles”)

³The Velocity Frequent Flyer double Velocity Points (“2X Miles”) Offer (“Promotion”) is available to individuals who are members of both the IHG One Rewards program and the Velocity Frequent Flyer program (“Eligible Members”). To participate, Eligible Members must register for the Promotion between 12.01am AEST on 22 June 2026 and 11.59pm AEST on 5 July 2026 (“Registration Period”) by clicking the “Click to Register” button for the Promotion. By registering for the Promotion, the Eligible Member accepts these Terms and Conditions.
After registering for the Promotion, Eligible Members can earn 2X Miles on Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts for bookings and stays during the period from 22 June 2026 through 30 September 2026 (“Promotion Period”), where the stay was reserved through an eligible booking. The Miles structure for earning 2X is described in more detail below. The time needed for awarding Miles can vary with each promotion so please allow up to six (6) weeks for Miles to be posted to the designated account.
For the Purposes of this Promotion, a “Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay” is defined as a minimum one (1) night stay booked through the IHG® Hotels & Resorts website at ihg.com using any eligible direct booking rate. Stays booked using Rewards Nights or Points & Cash are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for purposes of this Promotion. Bookings made through online travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or expedia.com also do not qualify under this Promotion. For additional details on Qualifying Rates, please see the IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions.
Note that for purposes of this Promotion multiple checkouts for consecutive nights at the same hotel will count as one (1) Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay; non-consecutive qualifying nights at the same hotel may count as separate Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays. In the event that two or more Eligible Members check into the same room, base Miles and any bonus Miles under this Promotion will only be credited to the account of the Eligible Member who made the booking, for those nights that qualify for the Miles. If an Eligible Member books more than one room at a hotel for the same or overlapping nights, they will receive bonus Miles for this Promotion on only one of the bookings and only for the nights that qualify.
Under this Promotion, 2X Miles are awarded only in connection with qualifying room rates and other Eligible Charges attributed to room nights that fall within the Promotion Period and are part of a Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay. As stated, the “Promotion Period” is from 22 June 2026 through 30 September 2026. Room nights outside of the Promotion Period are not included, and room nights that are part of a stay that was completed prior to registration for the Promotion also are not included.
To earn Miles for a Qualifying Stay at participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts, Velocity Frequent Flyer members need to be registered as an IHG One Rewards member and select Velocity Frequent Flyer as their earning preference in their IHG One Rewards account prior to check-in. Base Miles are awarded on a base rate of 3 Velocity Points per $1 AUD at all IHG Hotels & Resorts properties located in Australia and 600 Velocity Points per stay at all IHG Hotels & Resorts properties located outside of Australia.
Earning 2X Miles during the Promotion means that the total number of regular “base Miles” and promotional “bonus Miles” combined will equal 2X times the number of base Miles the Eligible Member would normally receive on the room night rate and Eligible Charges. To receive “base Miles”, an Eligible Member must have selected Virgin Australian | Velocity Frequent Flyer as their earning preference in their IHG One Rewards account prior to check-in and to be eligible for “2X Miles” the Eligible Member must have registered for the Promotion. For example, for a 2X one-night Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay with a $100.00 room rate, where the Eligible Member earns 3 base Velocity Points per $1 AUD under Velocity Frequent Flyer, the Eligible Member would earn 300 base Velocity Points and an additional 300 bonus Velocity Points under this Promotion, for a total of 600 Points (2X the base Miles).
Participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts are those operating under the following brands at the time of the qualifying stay and are subject to the hotels participating in the Promotion: Intercontinental® Hotels & Resorts, Regent® Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton® Hotels & Restaurants, Hotel Indigo®, HUALUXE® Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn®, Holiday Inn Express®, Holiday Inn Club Vacations®, Holiday Inn Resort®, EVEN® Hotels, voco® Hotels, Vignette™ Collection, Atwell Suites™, avid® Hotels, Staybridge Suites®, Candlewood Suites®. Six Senses® Hotels, Resorts and Spas, Ruby Hotels, and Iberostar Beachfront Resorts are also included among the IHG Hotels & Resorts brands but not all Six Senses Hotels, Ruby Hotels, Resorts and Spas participate in IHG One Rewards or are not yet fully integrated into the IHG One Rewards program are therefore may not participate in this Promotion. Room types and rates may vary by region and by Participating Hotel and are subject to availability. Blackout dates may apply. Any unused components of a rate are non-refundable. Rates are per room, per night, and extra person charges and rollaway bed charges may apply. Unless expressly included, rates do not include taxes, gratuities, resort fees, parking fees, or incidental charges, including food and beverages. IHG One Rewards and Velocity Frequent Flyer reserves the right and discretion to withdraw any bonus Miles awarded to an Eligible Member in connection with this Promotion, if fraudulent use of the promotion is detected, IHG One Rewards reserves the right and discretion to close the IHG One Rewards account of such Eligible Member. Any fraudulent activity relating to an IHG One Rewards member’s account or this Promotion is subject to the IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions, including any of the identified actions that may be taken in response to such activity. To the extent permitted by applicable law, IHG One Rewards reserves the right to, at any time, and with or without prior notification, cancel, terminate, or amend the Promotion terms.
