Duty Free shopping is the fun start to your international travel journey, but restrictions do apply.
Normal baggage allowances apply to your Duty Free purchases, and if applicable, excess baggage charges may apply. If your purchases exceed carry-on baggage limits, you will need to check in your Duty Free shopping.
Duty Free Limits
|Alcoholic beverages||2.25 litres (approx 1.98 quarts) per person.||Must be 18+ years|
|Tobacco, cigarettes and cigars||50 cigarettes or 50 grams (approx 1.76 oz) of tobacco or cigar products per person. Includes all tobacco products in accompanied baggage, regardless of how or where they were purchased.||Must be 18+ years|

Note: Due to restriction mandated by the Australian Government, it is forbidden to carry liquids, aerosols or gels during transit at Abu Dhabi airport if your final destination is in Australia.

|Other||When entering New Zealand you are entitled to a personal goods concession. This allows you to bring in goods free of duty (excluding alcohol and tobacco products) obtained overseas and/or purchased duty free in New Zealand, which have a total combined value of NZ$700.||Customers cannot combine concession with another customer. For parents travelling with children, parents may claim a concession for their child provided the goods claimed are the child’s own and are appropriate for their use.|
Please note: New Zealand law prohibits the sale of alcoholic drinks and tobacco products to anyone in New Zealand under the age of 18 years. This restriction applies to New Zealand duty-free outlets.
