Tuesday 19 May 2026: Virgin Australia has re-entered the holiday packages market with Virgin Australia Holidays, giving customers a seamless way to book flights and accommodation together in one transaction.
Launched in collaboration with travel marketplace Hopper, the new platform marks a significant expansion of Virgin Australia's leisure product offering beyond flights as demand for packaged holidays soars.
Velocity Frequent Flyer members can also enjoy added benefits with Virgin Australia holiday packages, earning up to 4.5 Points per $1 spent plus Status Credits on eligible flights^^.
Virgin Australia Holidays was first launched in 2003 before being discontinued in 2020 amid the pandemic. Its return comes as new research from Virgin Australia in partnership with YouGov reveals strong demand for package travel.
50 per cent of surveyed Australians say they’re looking for simpler and more time efficient ways to plan their holidays*, while 75 per cent are more likely to book a holiday package through their preferred airline, where price-competitive packages are offered*.
Virgin Australia Holidays offers bundled flights and accommodation to select domestic and international destinations, including holiday hotspots like Bali and Cairns, with sale packages now available from $745** per person (based on two travellers).
Packages are available to book here until 11:59pm AEST 27 May 2026 (unless sold out prior), on select travel dates between 15 July 2026 and 16 March 2027.
