A complimentary service which displays the status of your checked bags when travelling on selected Virgin Australia operated flights.
Bag tracking is available in the Virgin Australia app by enabling notifications in your app settings. Once enabled, a push notification will be sent when your bag has been checked in and again upon arrival at your destination to let you know which carousel your bag can be collected from.
Bag tracking is best experienced via the Virgin Australia app, as it allows you to be notified of updates via push notifications. A reduced web experience is available here.
Bag tracking is currently available at selected domestic ports serviced by Virgin Australia. Please check your Virgin Australia app to see if your flight is eligible for bag tracking.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s an issue with your bag, it might have been missed during scanning or there’s been a technical glitch within the app. Check the designated carousel upon arrival and if it's not there, see baggage services for assistance.

We can track your bag up until the point where it’s handed over to the partner airline but we are currently not able to obtain bag data for any other airlines.
