Thursday 7 May 2026: From today, millions of Velocity Frequent Flyer members will be able to fast-track their next reward or status upgrade by choosing double Velocity Points or double Status Credits on eligible Virgin Australia flights*.
The limited-time offer, one of the program’s biggest of the year, is available on all eligible bookings made until midnight AEST next Friday 15 May 2026 for travel until 31 December 2026.
Designed to deliver greater value, the offer gives Velocity members the flexibility to tailor rewards to their travel goals, whether getting closer to their next holiday or unlocking premium tier benefits afforded to Velocity Silver, Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus and Forever Gold members.
Velocity Status tier benefits (subject to tier level) include Lounge access, priority check-in, preferential seating and boarding, access to complimentary Business Class upgrades and Virgin Australia premium extra leg room Economy X seating, and additional baggage allowances.
Members booking a one-way Economy flight from Sydney to Brisbane could earn up to 1,664 Velocity Points or 34 Status Credits^, while a return Business Class flight from Brisbane to Bali could earn up to 122 Status Credits^^.
To earn the double Velocity Points or Status Credits, Velocity members simply need to activate the offer here in the app and book an eligible Virgin Australia marketed and operated flight at virginaustralia.com by 15 May 2026 (entering their Velocity number) and fly by 31 December 2026.

To be eligible for the Pick Your Bonus promotion (Offer) you must (1) Choose your bonus via the Benefit Selector through the Pick Your Bonus Offer landing page between 12.01am AEST 7 May 2026 and 11.59pm AEST 15 May 2026 inclusive (Promotion Period); (2) after Offer activation, book and ticket an Eligible Flight during the Promotion Period and enter your valid Velocity membership number at the time of booking; and (3) complete travel on an Eligible Flight. Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum Plus members will receive additional Velocity Points as follows:
- Silver members will receive an additional 50% of Base Points earned;
- Gold members will receive an additional 75% of Base Points earned; and
- Platinum and Platinum Plus members will receive an additional 100% of Base Points earned.
The Points bonus does not apply to Economy Lite fares. Base Points refers to the minimum number of Points that can be earned for an eligible activity or transaction by a Red member, before the double Points bonus is applied. A Velocity member who has earned Points on spend with an eligible Velocity Points earning credit card within the 12 months prior to flying with Virgin Australia or Link Airways will earn five (5) Base Points per $1 spent on the All-Inclusive Fare when flying on a Virgin Australia operated flight with a VA flight number, or a Link Airways operated flight with a VA flight number. Velocity members who do not hold an eligible Velocity Points earning credit card within the 12 months prior to flying with Virgin Australia or Link Airways will earn four (4) Base Points per $1 spent. You should allow up to four (4) weeks after satisfying the above eligibility criteria for the bonus Velocity Points to be allocated.

There is no limit on the number of times this Offer can be redeemed. Where multiple guests are listed on the same booking, only those guests who satisfy the above eligibility criteria are eligible for this Offer. You should allow up to four (4) weeks after satisfying the above eligibility criteria for the bonus Status Credits to be allocated.
