2. Enter your booking reference and last name to get started.
Note: You will only be able to change or cancel your flight if you have not checked-in online.
If you have already checked in, please call us on 13 67 89.

The information belowĀ sets out change and cancellation rules that are applicable for all bookings including those made using Velocity Points + Pay.Ā Ā
Some fare rules are different for bookings made usingĀ Velocity Points + Pay. These conditions are listed below.Ā

Change your flight
If you make changes to your upcoming booking, the below change fees and any applicable fare difference may apply.
- A fare difference will be payable where you make a change and your new fare is more expensive than your original fare.Ā
- Any change fees, taxes and fare difference will apply per person, per booking.
- The same change fees apply to⯠bookings made with Velocity Points + Pay.
- Any changes (including name changes) are subject to the availability of seats on the flight where you are making a change.
Change and cancellation fees and fare difference are not payable where you are entitled to a refund or alternative flight under theāÆAustralian Consumer Law.Ā
All Virgin Australia airfares are subject to change without notice.

My flight was changed by Virgin Australia
If we need to change your flight before or on the day of travel, we will either contact you or your travel agent will contact you to advise you of the change to your flight details.
If the new flight time is not suitable to you, you can contact our Guest Contact Centre or your nominated travel agent to request a different flight time.
If we cannot make suitable alternative arrangements, you may request a travel credit or a refund of the total price you paid for your impacted flight by contacting our Guest Contact Centre or your travel agent.

I paid for my flight with Velocity Points
Ā- TheĀ Virgin Australia fare rulesĀ apply for Virgin Australia Any Seat or Points + Pay bookings made in Lite, Choice, Flex and Business class.
- The ability to obtain a refund of Points will depend on the fare type purchased and this is only available forĀ Business and Flex faresĀ ā fees may apply.
- Please refer to theĀ Virgin Australia fare rulesĀ above to learn more about fares which permit a refund in Points, fees that apply and where a Points refund is not possible.
- If you have booked a combination of a Reward Seat and used Points for an Any Seat, please refer theĀ change and cancellation policy here.

I need to change the name on my booking
Ā- A name change is where you transfer the value of your ticket to a ticket in the name of another passenger.
- If you are transferring your ticket to another passenger, this is subject to availability of seats on the flight you are booked on, and the below change fees and any applicable fare difference may apply.Ā
- Any change fees, taxes and fare difference will apply per person, per booking.

Cancel your flight
If you cancel your upcoming flight, the below cancellation fees may apply.
Cancellation fees apply per person, per booking. Change and cancellation fees are not payable where you are entitled to a refund under theĀ Australian Consumer Law.

My flight was cancelled by Virgin Australia
If we cancel your flight, we will move you to the next available Virgin Australia flight to the same destination without charge.
If the new flight time is not suitable to you, there may be some circumstances where we will seek to transfer you to a service to the same destination operated by another carrier, if this is suitable to you.
If we cannot make suitable alternative arrangements, you may request a travel credit or a refund of the total price you paid for your impacted flight by contacting our Guest Contact Centre or your travel agent.

No shows
Our fares are not refundable in the event of a no-show, unless we did not communicate any relevant flight changes to you or your travel agent in line with theĀ Guest Compensation PolicyĀ or if you are otherwise entitled to request a refund under the ACL or other laws applicable to your booking.
Your ticket will be forfeited and classified as a no show if:
- You fail to board a flight regardless of whether or not you have checked in.
- You have checked in but failed to contact Virgin Australia for assistance in cancelling your flight.

Velocity Membership Contact Centre fee: $40 or 5,200 Points (Points + Pay or Any Seat)
Card payment fee (payment surcharge)
- Payment fees apply when paying for your flight via credit or debit card. View ourĀ payment fees breakdown.
- To maximise customer choice we offer the ability to avoid paying a card payment fee (payment surcharge) online by paying your booking in full using the POLi Direct Payment option, or call the Guest Contact Centre with a gift voucher.
