Tuesday, 25 November 2025: A new partnership between Velocity Frequent Flyer and hospitality ordering platform me&u will allow millions of Australians to earn Velocity Points when dining out and use them to lower their bill across thousands of restaurants, cafés, pubs, and bars nationwide.

With an average of one Velocity member in every Australian household, the partnership with me&u comes at a time when cost-of-living pressures continue to weigh on consumer budgets, and as Australians ramp up their Christmas dining - typically the biggest eating-out period of the year.

With the silly season fast approaching, every meal could bring Velocity members closer to their next dream holiday.

How to earn Velocity Points and Pay with Points:

With every order placed through the me&u app at more than 3,000 Participating Venues, Velocity members are a step closer to their dream holiday. By linking their account, Velocity members will earn 100 bonus Points^ and earn 1 Velocity Point for every $5 spent on eligible orders*. Plus, Velocity members can also turn Points into direct savings on their meals with Velocity’s option to Pay with Points on eligible transactions#.

New research from me&u has revealed more than half of Australian adults have used the me&u app in the past year, totalling over a million orders every week. In that same period, the humble chicken parmi was Australia’s most ordered menu item, with nearly 2.5 million orders. How to start earning Velocity Points with me&u

  3. Once linked, earn 1 Velocity Point per $5 spent on every eligible order at Participating Venues*

How to use Pay with Points with me&u

  1. Open or download the Velocity App, tap Pay with Velocity Points and follow the steps to update your preferences and turn on notifications so you can be notified of eligible transactions. Lastly, link your eligible Visa credit or debit card.
  2. Looking to buy the next round on Velocity Points? Simply use your linked Visa debit (via Apple Pay or Google Pay) or Visa credit card to pay for your order using the me&u ordering platform at Participating Venues, just as you normally would.
  3. Soon after your purchase has been processed, you’ll receive a notification from the Velocity App if it’s an eligible transaction and your notifications are switched on. Tap the notifications are switched on. Tap the notification or visit the Velocity App and choose to Pay with Points.

If you Pay with Points, we’ll deduct the Velocity Points from your Velocity account. Your eligible transaction amount will then be credited back to your linked Visa debit or credit card, usually between 2 to 10 business days after you confirm to Pay with Points.

The option to Pay with Points on eligible transactions expires 7 days after the purchase is processed. Velocity Points used for Pay with Points transactions cannot be reversed or refunded once completed. Visa debit card is only available for select Pay with Points transactions. T&Cs apply.#

#Pay with Points at Participating me&u Venues

Pay with Points is available in Australia at participating partners for Velocity members who hold an eligible active Australian issued Visa credit or debit payment card. The payment card must be in the name of the Velocity member and must be successfully linked in the Velocity App to their Velocity account prior to using Pay with Points. The Velocity member must opt in to ‘Velocity exclusives, Pay with Points’ in their Velocity account and enable notifications in the Velocity App settings and on their device to receive Pay with Points notifications for eligible transactions. The Velocity member must confirm the relevant transaction via the Velocity App within 7 days from the time the transaction is processed (processing times may vary).

If the Velocity member uses Pay with Points, the relevant Velocity Points amount will be deducted from the member’s Velocity account and the cash value will be credited back to the linked payment card account (processing times may vary). Velocity will not reverse or refund any redeemed Velocity Points and, to the extent permitted by law, is not responsible for any errors in offers, delay or unavailability of Pay with Points. Velocity also reserves the right to de-link inactive payment cards.

Velocity will collect information about linked payment cards and all eligible transactions made with participating Velocity partners using the linked payment card, even if the Velocity member elects not to use Pay with Points for the eligible transaction. Velocity will handle this personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
