Changing your flight
If you make changes to your upcoming flight, the below change fees may apply.
Change fees apply per person, per booking. Change and cancellation fees are not payable where you are entitled to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law. For fees in other currencies, fees listed below will be converted to local currency as per daily exchange.
All Virgin Australia airfares are subject to change without notice. If you change your booking, your new fare may be more expensive than the original fare paid.

Name changes are not permitted
Once a booking has been made, you will not be permitted to change the name on your ticket.
Cancelling your flight
If you cancel your upcoming flight, the below cancellation fees may apply.
Cancellation fees apply per person, per booking. Change and cancellation fees are not payable where you are entitled to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law. For fees in other currencies, fees listed below will be converted to local currency as per daily exchange.

No show policy
The following fare types are not refundable in the event of a no-show, unless we did not communicate any relevant flight changes to you or your travel agent in line with the Guest Compensation Policy or if you are otherwise entitled to request a refund under the ACL:
- All fare types for travel to and from Indonesia and New Zealand; and
- Choice and Lite fare types to and from Japan.
Your ticket will be forfeited and classified as a no show if:
- You fail to board a flight regardless of whether or not you have checked in.
- You have checked in but failed to contact Virgin Australia for assistance in cancelling your flight.
