Virgin Australia services operated by Qatar Airways remain impacted by the ongoing security situation in the Middle East and the closure of Qatari airspace.
The safety of our guests and crew is always our top priority, and we thank everyone for their understanding.
At this stage, all Virgin Australia services operated by Qatar Airways (VA1–VA22) are cancelled up to and including at least Saturday, 28 March 2026. Affected guests are being contacted directly.
We are aware that Qatar Airways is operating some passenger flights to/from Doha within a limited safe corridor defined by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority. Qatar Airways is posting updates on its website. Anyone planning to travel to the region should visit the Australian Government’s Smartraveller website for the latest travel advice.
For guests booked on Virgin Australia’s Doha services up to and including 30 April 2026 who no longer wish to travel, we are offering free booking changes to the same destination up to 31 May 2026, or a travel credit or refund.
