Spotting a celebrity in West Hollywood

West Hollywood is the home and playground of countless celebrities. Famous faces can sometimes be difficult to come by however, unless you know where to look! Follow our guide to spot your favourite star in West Hollywood.

Sunset Marquis, the semi-official private sanctuary of Hollywood’s A-listers, has played host to a number of stars considered rock ‘n’ roll royalty including Jimi Hendrix, U2 and the Foo Fighters. The hotel’s basement boasts a world-class recording studio, NightBird Studios, where talented musicians including Madonna, Elton John, Aerosmith and Carrie Underwood have all recorded their albums.

When you’re feeling hungry for lunch visit Italian favourite Cecconi’s located on the corner of trendy Melrose Avenue and posh Robertson Boulevard. Never lacking for a famous guest soaking up the sun on the front patio or hiding in a corner booth indoors, Cecconi’s has built an impressive roster of celebrity devotees, including Vera Wang, Gwen Stefani and Drake to name a few.

Or for a delicious organic lunch made only from the freshest local ingredients, head to Gracias Madre. You’re likely to hear this name dropped almost anywhere in LA and for all the right reasons! The trendy vegan Mexican eatery has become a hit among celebrities including Mila Kunis and Liam Hemsworth. Even Jessica Alba posted father-daughter selfies here on Instagram.

After all that indulgent Italian food, stop by ultra-cool fitness hotspot Equinox for a sneak peak, alongside undercover paparazzi, of celebs in their workout gear… oh and don’t forget to complete a workout while you’re there!

Once you’re full, it’s time to shop it off with a trip to Sunset Plaza. Sunset Plaza is home to hot stores and salons such as Nicole Miller, Hugo Boss, BCBG, H&M, Armani A/X, Blushington and Dry Bar. Stars like Emma Roberts, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber have been seen shopping up a storm here.

In the afternoon, take advantage of your hotel’s rooftop and relax… you will have your celeb spotting eyes back on in no time!

When you’re ready for dinner, turn your attention to Asian easting House, E.P +L.P - one of the most coveted spots in town… even Al Pacino dined there recently. The restaurant is owned by Australian DJ Grant Smillie and the man behind the Southeast Asian fusion menu is another Aussie, Executive Chef Louis Tikram. The restaurant is divided into two levels – E.P., the indoor dining experience which offers a sit-down ambiance, while L.P., the rooftop bar, features live music and a casual atmosphere.

As the night progresses, migrate to The London hotel rooftop and enjoy panoramic views of West Hollywood while you sip a delicious cocktail by the salt water pool. Infamous since Kim Kardashian was covered in flour on the red carpet at the hotel back in 2012, The London attracts many more stars including Nikki Reed, Tom Felton and Channing Tatum.

Once you’ve mingled with the stars, it’s time to head back to your hotel. You’ve had a long day, and, as any celeb will tell you, you need your beauty sleep!
