Rife with soaring skyscrapers, the hub can be seen from all along the Coast, enticing visitors to its flashy and over-the-top playground.

Boasting long stretches of sparkling coastline, adventure-packed theme parks, lush hinterlands, world-class shopping and bustling urban centre, the South East Queensland hub caters to leisure-seekers of all persuasions.

Start your discovery on the Coast’s southern end, at beautiful and lively Coolangatta. Just five minutes’ drive south east of the Gold Coast Airport, the beachside locale is a legendary holiday hotspot. Shop the hub’s unique boutiques. Explore rock pools and dive sites. Surf world-famous breaks. Or soak up the precinct’s laidback atmosphere with an alfresco meal along Marine Parade.

Less than 20 minutes’ drive north, Burleigh Heads also enjoys a reputation as a thriving holiday haunt.  Enjoy a day at the beach, swimming in calm protected waters or surfing the headland. Explore Burleigh Heads National Park for a beautiful vista of the Gold Coast. Stroll along the hub’s iconic, pine-tree-laden Esplanade and take in all the action of the lively foreshore precinct. Indulge in fresh-off-the-boat seafood at an absolute waterfront restaurant.

North again, just over 10 minutes’ drive, Broadbeach proves to be one of the Coast’s most happening enclavea hip and evolving beach-side suburb, regarded as the cosmopolitan heart of the Gold Coast. Shop iconic retail malls like Oasis Shopping Centre and Pacific Fair. Enjoy a flutter at Jupiters Casino. Reserve a seat at Australia’s longest running and most successful dinner theatre, Draculas. Lap up the lively atmosphere of the hub’s restaurant and bar strip, Surf Parade.

Bordering Broadbeach, Surfers Paradise is an icon of the Gold Coast. Rife with soaring skyscrapers, the hub can be seen from all along the Coast, enticing visitors to its flashy and over-the-top playground. Stay the night in a towering high rise and survey the coastline and hinterland with a bird’s eye view. Shop the Surfers Paradise Beachfront market. Party or enjoy a drink along Cavill Avenue. Soak up the sun on one of Australia’s most famous beaches.

20 minutes’ drive inland, the suburb of Helensvale hosts Australia’s most famous and concentrated assortment of theme parks. Take a unique look behind the scenes at Warner Bros Movie World. Enjoy the thrills and spills of adrenaline-pumping water rides at While Wet 'n' Wild. Entertain the whole family with a visit to Australia’s premier theme park, Dreamworld.

When thoughts turn to escaping the hustle and bustle, experience the green behind the gold with a day-trip to the Gold Coast Hinterland—a nature lover’s paradise of UNESCO World Heritage Listed status.
