Port Hedland

Port Hedland is a prominent Western Australian regional centre, fringed by dry hinterlands, ranges, rock formations, grasslands, mangroves and the Indian Ocean.

As a thriving iron-ore site, Port Hedland’s natural harbour is often populated with imposing freight ships – a stark contrast to the town's pristine beaches.

Marking the south-western terminus of Eighty Mile Beach, Port Hedland hosts an incredible array of marine life, like nesting flatback turtles and migrating whales, and is within easy reach of the Millstream and Karijini national parks.
