Orlando

Orlando Florida, with approximately 52 million visitors each year and mega tourist attraction drawcards such as the Kennedy Space Centre, Disney World, Seaworld and Universal Studios, it's no wonder the second largest number of hotel rooms available in the USA are located in Orlando. Yet look downtown and you will find a technology industry comprising digital media, aviation, aerospace and software with more then 150 international companies setting up shop.

Orlando is now the second largest convention centre location next to Chicago and vying with Las Vegas for the most conventions and exhibitions held each year.

Dining

If variety is the spice of life, you won’t be disappointed in the wide range of tastes available at Orlando restaurants. Traditional African cuisine, Caribbean flavors and varying styles of barbecue abound. And in a category all by itself is Soul Food, the heart of African-American cooking. The southern cooking style has almost become a lost art these days, usually preserved in little “mom and pop” operations, living monuments to the legacy of the communities in which they hang their signs. Orlando’s soul food restaurants are no exception.

Shopping

Retail therapy in Orlando is an exciting affair with a dizzying array of options. With free shuttle services from local hotels to the area’s top shopping destinations, planning an incredible shopping trip will be a snap when you visit upscale one-stop shopping areas like The Mall at Millenia. Guests can browse premium brands such as Betsey Johnson, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co. and more — all within an 11-mile range.
