Purchasing Prepaid Baggage on International Long-Haul Flights
 

Effective from 07 May 2019, Virgin Australia is delighted to introduce the option to purchase prepaid baggage via the Virgin Australia Guest Contact Centre or via the Global Distribution System (GDS) for all Virgin Australia operated services to and from Hong Kong and Los Angeles.

Currently, prepaid baggage can only be purchased at the airport for international long-haul flights. 

The introduction of prepaid baggage on international long-haul flights will simplify and enhance the guest experience at check-in. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to pre-purchase extra baggage at a cheaper rate prior to arriving at the airport. 

Guests will be entitled to pre-purchase a maximum of two additional pieces, each weighing no more than 23kg.

Please note, prepaid baggage is not permitted for guests connecting to a flight operated by another carrier.
