Changes to Airport Checked Baggage Fees

Virgin Australia is pleased to announce changes to additional baggage fees at the airport, which will see a reduction in some prices.

Effective immediately, the below changes will come into effect:

• A reduction of the current Overweight Baggage Fee (items weighing between 23kg and 32kg) at the airport from $120 down to $90 (per bag) for international short haul flights;* and  
• Simplification of the current pricing structure for Additional Baggage (items weighing up to 23kgs) purchased at the airport for domestic and international short haul flights (as outlined below).

Online Purchase of Prepaid Baggage Now Available on HKG & LAX Flights
Please be advised that guests travelling on Virgin Australia operated services to Hong Kong and Los Angeles can now pre-purchase additional baggage online, as well as via the GDS and through the Virgin Australia Guest Contact Centre. Refer to the Checked Baggage page for details.
Renovation of KrisFlyer Gold Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 3

As a part of Virgin Australia’s alliance partner Singapore Airlines’ commitment to constantly elevate the customer experience, both in the air and on the ground, Singapore Airlines have confirmed they are upgrading their SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold Lounges at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3.

These renovations will double the lounge capacity, offer dedicated working spaces, larger alfresco seating and dining areas, as well as restrooms and showers within the lounges.

Renovations have already commenced, with completion due by mid-2021. Eligible guests are invited to use the alternative KrisFlyer Gold Lounge located in the same terminal (T3) to ensure minimal disruption.

Please be aware that guests can continue to utilise the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 2.
