Located at Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Mackay, Cairns, Gold Coast, Darwin and Alice Springs domestic airports, the Virgin Australia Lounge is open seven days a week – from 60 minutes prior to our first flight departure, until our last flight is called for boarding.
The Business guests, Virgin Australia Lifetime Lounge member as well as Velocity Platinum and Gold members are eligible to access Virgin Australia Lounges for onward domestic travel with Virgin Australia on the day.
Note: Access to the Virgin Australia Lounge is for eligible members and guests travelling on onward domestic Virgin Australia flights, Trans Tasman Air New Zealand flights and Trans Tasman Virgin Australia flights. Access is subject to Virgin Australia Lounge Terms and Conditions and the Virgin Australia Lounge rules.
The Business and Business Class guests travelling on Virgin Australia domestic flights can access the Virgin Australia Lounge upon arrival, by showing an eligible same-day itinerary or boarding pass.
Virgin Australia guests travelling internationally in The Business can access selected international airport lounges operated by our airline partners or selected third-party operators.
If you are a Virgin Australia Lounge member or Velocity Platinum or Gold member, present your membership card and your flight itinerary or boarding pass – for onward domestic travel with Virgin Australia on the day – for access to the Virgin Australia Lounge.
Velocity Platinum members can access the Virgin Australia Lounge on arrival with an eligible day of travel Virgin Australia or partner airline itinerary or boarding pass.
Subject to space availability, Velocity Gold members may also access the Virgin Australia Lounge on arrival with an eligible day of travel Virgin Australia or partner airline itinerary or boarding pass.
Virgin Australia Lifetime lounge members and Velocity Platinum and Gold members can also access the lounge via Self Service Entry, which are located in the reception of each lounge. Simply tap or swipe your card and follow the prompts for streamlined lounge entry.

Virgin Australia international long haul Velocity Platinum and Gold Members can access selected international airport lounge locations operated by airline partners when travelling internationally.
To make your membership more easily identifiable, and streamline your access to Virgin Australia domestic lounges when flying on our network and when enjoying reciprocal access to selected Air New Zealand lounges, we have introduced the Virgin Australia Lounge membership card.
To ensure that you receive your lounge membership card, log into your Velocity account and confirm that your postal address is up to date.
Note: The new Virgin Australia Lounge membership card does not replace the Velocity membership card, which is used to access other Velocity Benefits.
Virgin Australia Lounge members and Velocity Gold members may invite one accompanying guest to the Virgin Australia Lounge at no charge. Velocity Platinum members may be accompanied by up to three guests at no charge.
Guests do not need to be travelling with Virgin Australia to accompany eligible members into a Virgin Australia operated lounge. Additional guests will be charged $65 at the lounge reception
Non-Members (non-Virgin Australia Lounge and non-Velocity members) travelling with Virgin Australia can purchase Single Entry to the lounge on the day of travel with a valid Virgin Australia boarding pass for $65. Payable at lounge reception by credit card only and can only be used a maximum of 2 hours before departure time. Available for domestic lounges only and does not include partner or international lounges and is subject to space availability.
Children, under 18 years of age, are welcome in the Virgin Australia Lounge, but must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian.
Virgin Australia Lounge and Velocity Platinum and Gold members can bring up to two children aged 3 to 12 years – in addition to their guest allowance – into the lounge at no cost. There is no charge for infants 2 years of age and under.
Additional Guests (adults and children over 2 years) over a Member’s complimentary allowance will be charged the Guest Entry Fee.
Virgin Australia Business Class 'The Business' guests, Velocity Platinum and Gold members, and partner airline reciprocal status members receive complimentary access to the Virgin Australia Lounge, and benefit from a more streamlined, fast-tracked security screening and entry process at selected airports:

Virgin Australia Lounge members have reciprocal access to Air New Zealand lounges+ ^^* in Australia and New Zealand. This gives guests a total of 24 lounges to relax in comfort prior to Virgin Australia and Air New Zealand Trans Tasman and domestic flight departures++. Members and their guests must comply with the Koru Terms and Conditions, available at www.airnewzealand.co.nz/koru-terms-conditions.
Virgin Australia international long haul Business Class guests and Velocity Platinum and Gold members can access selected international airport lounge locations operated by airline partners when travelling internationally.
+ Air New Zealand lounge access is not permitted for flights other than flights between Australia and New Zealand, i.e., flights to the Pacific Islands, Bali, Papua New Guinea and Norfolk Island.
^^ Virgin Australia Lounge members must be travelling on a Trans Tasman journey with either Virgin Australia or Air New Zealand, or domestic Air New Zealand flight to access Air New Zealand lounges.
