On the eve of the official opening of Adelaide’s new multi-million dollar terminal facility, Australia’s award winning low cost carrier, Virgin Blue, has expressed its excitement and enthusiasm for the sleek new facility.
Virgin Blue has worked in close consultation with Adelaide Airport to develop its own area in the terminal, which will have ten check-in counters, eight self service kiosks, five boarding gates and over 1,000 square metres of office space.
Virgin Blue has also committed to opening its first corporate lounge at Adelaide Airport in 2006 for the convenience of Virgin Blue’s increasing number of business travellers.
Virgin Blue Chief Executive, Brett Godfrey said, “We congratulate the Adelaide Airport team in taking the new terminal facility from concept to fantastic reality.”
He continued, “ Adelaide has gone from having one of the oldest airports in the country to having the best in the country, and we are confident Virgin Blue Guests will appreciate both the modern look of the airport and its aerobridges and the enhanced facilities on offer.”
The opening of the new terminal will also provide tourists with an impressive gateway to the South Australian capital and the famous surrounding wine regions.
Virgin Blue will join in the celebrations over the coming days (Friday, October 7 to Sunday, October 9), which will include:
The official opening of the new terminal on Friday, to be attended by the Prime Minister, local VIP’s and Adelaide Airport dignitaries.
