Los Angeles Airport Information

Virgin Australia flies into Terminal 5 and departs from Terminal 3 of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Located in Westchester, LAX is approx. 30km from downtown Los Angeles, 39km from Hollywood, and 22km from Santa Monica. The airport can be accessed by various transport options, including:

Car Hire: Receive mates’ rates when you choose from a great choice of hire cars from our car partners.
Taxi: Taxis can be found kerbside on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal under the yellow sign Taxis. Guests will be presented with a ticket stating typical fares to major destinations.
Shuttles: Two shared ride van companies, Prime Time Shuttle and SuperShuttle, operate out of LAX. Shared shuttles are usually a cheaper alternative than taxis, but generally take longer to reach their destination. Vans pick up guests on the Lower/Arrivals Level in front of each terminal, near the exits of the baggage claim areas.
Buses: Buses provide services from LAX to various parts of Los Angeles and surrounding regions. Buses pick up guests on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal under the sign marked FlyAway, Buses & Long Distance Vans.

A free shuttle service operates between terminals (approx. every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day). To use this service, guests should board the LAX Shuttle under the blue sign marked LAX Shuttle & Airline Connections on the Lower/Arrivals Level islands in front of each terminal.
