As Australia’s largest foreign carrier, Singapore Airlines and its regional wing, SilkAir, offer 116 flights per week between Australia and Singapore from Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Virgin Australia connects its expansive domestic Australian network to Singapore Airlines and SilkAir services to Europe, Asia, the Indian Subcontinent and Africa. Within Asia, guests can connect to over 30 destinations serviced by SilkAir.

Singapore Airlines Cabin Classes
Virgin Australia’s alliance with Singapore Airlines offers guests more comfortable ways to travel than ever before. Whether discussing business, or sharing a relaxing moment, each cabin is exceptionally accommodating. Singapore Airlines services from Australia are operated by a combination of next generation Airbus A380 and Airbus A330 aircraft.
Exclusively on board the A380 aircraft, the Singapore Airlines Suite is your haven of luxury. Each individual cabin features sliding doors and window blinds, offering you the freedom to decide on the level of privacy you prefer. The leather and wood finishes, created in soothing natural hues, enhance the sense of serenity.
New First Class
Inside the Singapore Airlines lavishly designed First Class cabin, eight stately seats await the privileged few, creating a private haven with new levels of exclusivity.
The Business Class seat fitted on Singapore Airlines A380, Boeing 777-300ER and refitted 777-200ER, is the most spacious the world has ever seen. Each leather seat unfolds to reveal the largest full-flat bed in business class, with more room to stretch, providing you a rejuvenating night’s rest.
New Economy Class
Through the use of innovative design and materials, the new Economy Class seats are more comfortable with increased personal space. Passengers are also able to enjoy the state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system.

A generous baggage allowance of 30kgs for Economy and 40kgs for Business Class and 'The Business' is offered to guests. Additional baggage allowances are offered for Velocity Platinum and Gold members. Any checked baggage that exceeds these allowances will be subject to standard excess baggage charges and conditions.
|Infants are allowed 10kg of baggage. Additionally, a fully collapsible stroller or pushchair and carry-cot or car seat may be checked in without charge.|

A World First for Frequent Flyers
Velocity Frequent Flyer and Singapore Airline' KrisFlyers have the ability to convert their Points and Miles between both programs to receive a number of innovative new benefits.
The conversion innovation, which is exclusive to the two airline loyalty programs, gives Velocity members the ability to convert their Points to KrisFlyer Miles and use them to upgrade their seat, book Reward Seats or pay for flights across the combined international network of Singapore Airlines and SilkAir.
KrisFlyer members are also able to benefit from Velocity’s range of non-flight redemption rewards, and use their Points to access upgrades, Reward Seats or pay for flights across Virgin Australia’s domestic and International network.
This world first initiative enhances the existing alliance offering for Velocity members and shows our commitment to rewarding our members for their loyalty.
