Minor Baggage policy change, effective as of 16 May 2012

For Virgin Australia international long haul flights to/from the Americas:

Our baggage fee for additional pieces has increased from USD100 to USD150, and from AUD135 to AUD150. The baggage fee for overweight pieces has decreased from AUD135 to AUD100, and remained the same for the USD100 rate.

There are no changes to other cabin classes

Minor Baggage policy change, effective as of 6 November 2011

For Virgin Australia Flights to/from the USA our baggage allowance of two pieces – totalling a maximum combined weight of 32kg (70lb) – for guests travelling in Economy Cabin Class, has been changed to two pieces at maximum 23kg (50lb) each – totalling a maximum allowance of 46kg (100lb) carried in two pieces.

Plus 1 extra piece for Economy Class Silver, Gold and Platinum Velocity members – up to a maximum of 23 kg (50lb) per piece.

There are no changes to other cabin classes.
