Virgin Australia is proud to be a Codeshare partner with Virgin America, our sister airline based in San Francisco.

Our new codeshare partnership offers convenient connecting services from Los Angeles to eight cities in the United States, including Washington DC, Boston, Chicago and Fort Lauderdale, Dallas, Seattle, Philadelphia and Portland. These services are operated by A320 and A310 aircraft and feature Business Class, Main Cabin Select and Main Cabin (Economy).

As partners, we offer increased loyalty rewards through reciprocal frequent flyer programs.

Virgin America offers in-flight internet, mood lighting and custom designed leather seats as just some of the in-flight features.

Check-in

You will need to check in with the carrier operating your flight. The operating carrier would have been clearly displayed on the website at the time you made your booking, and will be included on your itinerary.

Airport information screens display flight information concerning applicable Virgin Australia and Virgin America flight numbers.

Transfer Information

When arriving from Australia on Virgin Australia operated flights into Terminal 5 in Los Angeles, all guests must collect their baggage and proceed through Customs. Once cleared into the United States, guests can drop their baggage off at the Transfer Desk and proceed to Terminal 3 for their Virgin America operated flight.
