·The Virgin Blue Group of Airlines advises all Guests that airport check-in and boarding
systems are back online and operating as normal.
· There is congestion at airports however we are working to minimise the inconvenience
and ask Guests to be patient with us.
·We are very sorry for the ongoing delays and we are working to get people on their way
as quickly as possible.
·The Virgin Blue website www.virginblue.com.au is updated with information relating to
flight cancellations and how to receive compensation from yesterday’s network wide
· Our Guest Contact Centre team members are now contacting Guests who were on
cancelled flights to provide them with their new flight details. We plan to get all guests
that were on cancelled flights yesterday on flights today.
·Guests accommodated overnight last night have been given late check-outs so they can
rest and depart at a time close to their flight. They will be contacted via SMS or phone
call with their new flight details.
·All guests who have been delayed by more then four hours will be given a credit for
another free flight to use at sometime in the future to compensate them for their
