No Fuel Surcharge At This Stage For Virgin Blue

Virgin Blue said today it has decided against introducing an across the board additional fuel surcharge at this stage.

The airline said it will hold back on making any change to its existing $19 fuel surcharge, and will instead consider reviewing some of its fares.

"We remain steadfastly committed to being a low cost/high quality carrier which is why we have made this decision,” said Heather Jeffery, General Manager Public Affairs.

“Instead we will closely examine fares on a route by route basis to see whether we may slightly increase some fares, however no decisions have been made at this time."
