Nationals of EU member countries and United Kingdom do not require a visa for visits to Switzerland.

The Schengen Agreement

Switzerland is part of the Schengen Area, a borderless region in Europe in which internal border controls have been removed. Because entry into one Schengen country allows unrestricted access to all others, guests intending to visit any country in the Schengen Area, should be aware of travel restrictions imposed by other Schengen states.

Within the Schengen Area, nationals of Australia, New Zealand, Canada and USA, do not require a visa for a stay of ninety days, in any six month period.

Onward and Return Travel Requirments of Switzerland

Passengers are required to hold return/onward tickets and documents required for return or onward travel.
