Virgin Blue Group of Airlines today announced the appointment of Mr Joshua Bayliss to the Group's Board07/04/2011
Mr Bayliss is a senior executive with the Virgin Group based in Geneva and is the Group’s General Counsel, with extensive experience as a director of a large number of companies across the Virgin Group globally.
Virgin Blue Group of Airlines Chairman Neil Chatfield said Mr Bayliss was an excellent addition to the board.
“It is with great pleasure that I welcome Josh to the Board. His wealth of experience in corporate strategy, risk management and corporate finance, together with his intimate knowledge of the Virgin brand, will further strengthen our Board”, Mr Chatfield said.
Mr Bayliss joins Mr Chatfield, CEO John Borghetti and Non‐Executive Directors Mark Vaile, Rob Thomas, David Baxby and Sam Mostyn. Mr Joshua Bayliss: Joshua Bayliss was appointed to the role of Virgin Group General Counsel in 2005.
During his tenure at Virgin Group, Joshua has also been a director of numerous companies, combining investment holding and operational roles.
He was previously Senior Associate at leading international law firm Slaughter and May and holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
