The Virgin Australia Group of Airlines will suspend services tomorrow into and out of Melbourne until 1.00pm and into and out of Sydney and Canberra until 4.00pm following the disruption by the volcanic ash plume from Chilean volcano, Cordon Caulle.
Virgin Australia Group Executive Operations Sean Donohue said that the airline was continuing to monitor the situation and would make changes to the schedule as soon as it was safe to do so.
“I urge our Guests to first check information listed on our website – www.virginaustralia.com or contact our Guest Contact Centre on 13 6789.
“We apologise for the disruption to our Guests,” Mr. Donohue said.
