BRISBANE 23 May 2011: Virgin Australia is proud to announce the introduction of a new fare structure delivering innovative pricing together with greater flexibility, simpler choices and better value.
Effective immediately, the previous five fare types have been streamlined to just three. Guests on Virgin Australia, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue flights now have the option of purchasing Saver, Flexi or Premium (Premium Economy / Business) fares. There will be no change to V Australia fare types.
“With this new product offering we are able to deliver what every traveller wants – genuinely simple and easy to understand fares, the choice of what you want included and incredible value for money,” Virgin Australia’s Group Executive, Commercial, Liz Savage, said.
“Our new Flexi fare represents outstanding value. For example, starting from just $199 between Sydney and Melbourne, you get Priority Check-in, checked baggage allowance, a food and beverage package and the ability to change your flight – all included in the price.”
