Perth Airport Information
Perth Airport is Western Australia’s busiest airport. Located 12km from Perth’s CBD, the airport can be accessed by various transport options, including:
- Car Hire: Receive mates’ rates when you choose from a great choice of hire cars from our car partners.
- Taxi: Covered taxi ranks are located on the ground floor outside the airport’s domestic terminals. A taxi from Perth Airport to Perth’s CBD should cost approximately $38. Some drivers will ask passengers to pay the fare in advance. A $2 fee is added to fares leaving the airport.
- Private Chauffeur Service: Enjoy chauffeur service and private sedan transfers thanks to our partner Brunel.
- Bus: Transperth operates a bus service to and from Perth Airport's domestic terminals. The bus stop in located in the bus lane, closest to Terminal 2 (T2).
A free Terminal Transfer bus service operates between the International Airport (T1) and domestic terminals T2 and T3. The service runs every 50 minutes and takes approximately 8 minutes. The Terminal Transfer bus leaves from in front of the arrivals areas at the T1 and T2.

Grouped around the northern banks of the Swan River, Perth’s inner-city pockets host vibrant dining zones. The CBD’s King, Murray and Hay Streets’ fashion boutiques co-exist with a number of gourmet and low-key eateries. Subiaco’s Rokeby Road and Hay Street host a range of eateries to please all budgets and palates. Leederville’s Oxford Street has a great cafe culture, and a multicultural mix of eateries. Mount Lawley’s Beaufort Street is a hip dining precinct with a number of reputable restaurants. Claremont’s Bayview Terrace and St Quentin Avenue are known for coffee. Marine Parade in Cottesloe is busy with beach-goers enjoying fish and chips, and fine-diners enjoying meals overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Perth hosts a number of lively precincts, which pulsate with varied nightlife. Northbridge is the city’s most preeminent party zone, home to William, James, Aberdeen and Parker Streets – which all brim with, pubs, bars and clubs. Outside of Northbridge, suburbs such as Joondalup, Scarborough, Subiaco, Victoria Park and Fremantle also boast vibrant drinking scenes; while cafes, bars and lounges abound on the riverfront in the CBD. Due to Perth’s almost perfect year-round climate, the Sunday afternoon pub session is considered a favourite local pastime. Based around beer gardens, or at venues overlooking the ocean or Swan River, the “Sunday Session" is a great way to experience Perth culture.
