Virgin Australia to Appoint High Flyer Unveiling New Best Job in the World13/06/2013
Virgin Australia today unveiled it will appoint a brand new role at the airline, the Virgin Australia High Flyer. The role was announced today as a new seventh job to be awarded to one of the 18 finalists as part of Tourism Australia’s Best Jobs in the World Campaign.
The surprise announcement was made today at Sydney Airport as the 18 international finalists flew into Sydney from around the world, marking the final stage of the search. Over the next ten days, the finalists will undergo a range of skill-tests and interviews as they compete for one of the highly-coveted roles on offer.
The unique High Flyer role will fly to the four corners of the country with Virgin Australia, to experience the heights of Australian hospitality both on the ground and in the air. They will be tasked with uncovering new innovations in world-class service across a range of categories including dining, culture and entertainment. The successful applicant will go through Virgin Australia’s award-winning customer service training giving them the skills and expertise to help identify service excellence across other industries around Australia.

The successful candidate will travel across the country experiencing the best each state and territory has to offer then sharing these interesting insights with us and the world.

The winner of the seventh job will be announced on 21 June at a special Tourism Australia event at the New South Wales Art Gallery.
